GGFSC Winter Academy (2025-26)

The GGFSC Winter Academy Program provides an opportunity for soccer athletes (ages 4-19) to play soccer during the winter months (November through February). This is a great program for those looking to get some winter training to improve skills, prepare for the GGFSC Recreational  and Summer Competitive programs, or just to have

 ALL sessions will be held at the Fritz Pollard Athletic Center on the UND Campus. This allows us to practice on turf the whole winter season!

The Winter Academy is split into two halves:

• Winter Academy #1 & Goalkeeper #1 (Nov-Dec)   
• Winter Academy #2  & Goalkeeper #2 (Jan-Feb)
  

• Sunday sessions will be open scrimmages run by GGFSC coaches (1/2 skills and 1/2 scrimmages for the youngest group (U4-U8)
• NEW this year, goalkeeper sessions for U9 and up
  

Who is eligible:

Athletes ages U4-U19 (born 2007-2022).  U4-U8 sessions will be co-ed; all other divisions may be separated by gender if numbers allow.

Please check the age matrix to see what age group your athlete will play in.

Registration instructions:

• Please click one of the registration links below to add the sessions you want to sign up for.  You should add all the sessions you want to participate in to your cart before completing the registration process.  This allows you to qualify for our volume discount (if you sign up for more than one session).

• Registration for Winter Academy #1 (Nov-Dec) closes October 26, 2025.  We would love for you to sign up as early as possible so that we can schedule coaches accordingly.  If a session still has open spots, you may sign up after October 26, however, all registrations will incur a $25 late fee at that time.
• Registration for Winter Academy #2 (Jan-Feb) closes December 15, 2025.  We would love for you to sign up as early as possible so that we can schedule coaches accordingly.  If a session still has open spots, you may sign up after December 15, however, all registrations will incur a $25 late fee at that time.
• Each session has a limited number of spots and is first come, first serve.  If a session is full, you may add your name to the waitlist.  If certain sessions have a large number of players on the waitlist we may consider adding additional sessions for that age group.
• GGFSC reserves the right to cap, cancel or combine sessions depending on the number of registrants.  Full refunds will be given for canceled sessions. Refunds will not be given after a session/season begins.
• These registrations are for the Winter Academy sessions only, not for indoor soccer/futsal tournaments.  Separate registrations will be available for these tournaments.

WINTER ACADEMY #1 & GOALKEEPER #1:  Sunday, November 2 through Sunday, December 21  

WINTER ACADEMY #2 & GOALKEEPER #2: Sunday, January 4 through Sunday, February 22

Cost:

WINTER ACADEMY #1:  $110 per 8-week session (8 Sundays)
GOALKEEPER #1: $110 per 8-week session (8 Sundays)

WINTER ACADEMY #2:  $110 per 8-week session (8 Sundays). 
GOALKEEPER #2: $110 per 8-week session (8 Sundays)

Discounts give for multiple sessions: 1 8 -week session = $110, 2 8-week sessions = $200, 3 8 week-sessions = $290, 4 8-week sessions = $380

Note: Multiple program discounts are only given when you register for multiple programs at once.  If you come back later to register for additional programs, the discount will not be added. Discounts are per player, not per family. 

Note: SportsConnect, our website provider, charges a $3 fee per registration.  This is regardless of whether you pay by credit card or with a check.
