The Greater Grand Forks Soccer Club (GGFSC) was founded in 1988 and promotes and provides for amateur competitive and recreational youth soccer in the Greater Grand Forks area.  GGFSC strives to promote the game of soccer and ensure that it is a fun and positive experience for all participants, teaching fundamentals and encouraging player development.  The club also aims to promote a sense of community pride of representation, good sportsmanship, physical fitness and opportunities for adults in the community to be role models and actively involved with youth. We encourage participants of all ages and skill levels to come out and join us!  GGFSC has several competitive and recreational programs as outlined below.



COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS
Winter Program (November-February): Skills development and practices, camps & clinics, and potential opportunities to participate in futsal tournaments. Ages 4-18.  Coached by GGFSC coaches.

Summer Competitive Traveling Program (April-July): Our flagship program for soccer players who have a high level of commitment to the sport.  Players are assigned to set teams and typically participate in four tournaments in the upper Midwest region, including the Greater Grand Forks Soccer Tournament. Ages 8-18. Coached by GGFSC coaches.

Fall Competitive Program (August-September):  Our follow-up program to the summer competitive traveling program with focus on continued player development and possibly one or two fall tournaments.  Ages 8-18 based on interest.  Coached by GGFSC coaches.

RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS
Spring Rec Program (April-May): Our recreational program for preschoolers (age 4) through 6th grade (formerly known as Sunflake Soccer).  Kids are placed on teams and practice at local parks and play games at Bringewatt Park or Scheels Sports Complex.  Coached by parent volunteers.

Summer Rec Program (June): Our summer rec program focuses on skills development and playing soccer in a fun learning environment.  Ages 4-9.  Coached by GGFSC Coaches.

Fall Rec Program (September-October): Our recreational program for preschoolers (age 4) through 6th grade (formerly known as Sunflake Soccer). .  Kids are placed on teams and practice at local parks and play games at Bringewatt Park or Scheels Sports Complex.  Coached by parent volunteers.

OTHER
GGFSC also offers refereeing clinics (usually spring), coaching clinics (both rec and competitive), goalkeeper clinics and other clinics and camps from time to time.
